In 1966, J.P. and Judy Wiest bought a truck and grain trailer and started hauling grain from North Dakota to the grain terminals in Duluth and Minneapolis-St.Paul, Minnesota.

Like many other grain haulers at the time,  J.P. and Judy  hauled building materials back to North Dakota. Through perseverance, a lot of hard work, and an "On time..Every time" philosophy, J.P. and Judy were able to develop a strong, broad customer base and the truck fleet began to grow.

Today, Wiest Truck Line, Inc. has over three decades of experience and transportation knowledge. 

The company has grown to a fleet of 75 tractors and 230 trailers,  with a staff of 100 people.  Our customer base ranges from mega corporations to single load shippers.   

Wiest Truck Line has remained dedicated to the original philosophy that each customer, large or small, still receives personal service. Wiest Truck Line has become diverse enough to satisfy every customer's needs!

The company now has three divisions, dry van, flatbed, and heavy haul. Wiest Truck Line, Inc. has both common and contract authorities and services the contiguous 48 states, as well as the Canadian provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Alberta, and Quebec.

Our tractors are equipped with satellite communication and tracking equipment to utilize our drivers and equipment efficiently.  This ensures our ability to serve our customers' needs.

Because of the company's successful expansion over the years, we have added an in-house logistics department.  Cen-Trux, Inc., located in our corporate facility,  solves our customers' inventory and transportation problems with  "Just in Time" deliveries.  In addition, Cen-Trux provides our other divisions with almost unlimited access to additional power units and trailers.

In order to reduce equipment downtime and the risk of unnecessary delays in moving our customers' freight, Wiest Truck Line, Inc. operates a full maintenance facility at the Jamestown, ND terminal.  Our shop is a certified Authorized Cummins Repair facility,  an IH Associate Dealer, and  includes a Beeline laser alignment rack.
